It’s with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to Octavia Carr who is leaving the position of Canteen Manager. She has been a wonderful addition to the canteen, developing a new menu which has really focused on fresh healthy food for our MPS kids. She will be a hard act to follow but we wish her well and of course as a parent at the school we will still see her often. We’ll have to get her on the canteen volunteer roster just for old times sake!

We are in the process of advertising the position of Canteen Manager. The job, of course, suits mothers with school age children so we are hopeful of finding someone soon. At this point, we are working to ensure that Octavia’s leaving will not, in any way, disrupt the usual opening hours of the canteen at the beginning of next term. Please remember that, as usual, the canteen will be closed on the first day of school next term.

As part of the wonderful canteen renovation we are getting rid of the 3 freezers and the old 2 door fridge. We are happy to give them to a worthy cause if someone knows of an organisation who would love to come and take them and put them to good use. If anyone could use one of the freezers in their holiday house, garage etc we are more than happy to give them away for a nominal donation to the renovation.

Many thanks to everyone who has volunteered so willingly this term on the canteen roster. We couldn’t do it without you and we look forward to welcoming you to our newly renovated canteen next term.
